I just finished making my to-do list for tomorrow and I started thinking about all the things not to do when you make a to-do list. ✍🏻📝
What to avoid when making a to-do list:
Having a to-do list is important to keep track of your day-to-day activities. However, we become so caught up on what “to do”, that we forget to pay attention to what not to do when creating this list! Here are things to avoid:
- Don’t have more than 5 items on it
- Don’t add things that aren’t important
- Avoid prioritising the easy things and leaving the difficult things undone
- Don’t create a to-do list that contributes to your stress
If you don’t avoid these things, your to-do list will cause you to have stress. Stress leads to low energy, headaches, and an upset gut which may cause diarrhea, constipation, and nausea. Stress will also leave your body weak and vulnerable to colds and infections. A stressed body also experiences pains and tense muscles. Long-term stress results in heart problems.
A to-do list might just be a piece of paper with words on it, but if it is done incorrectly it can harm you in the long run. A short and effective to-do list is the key to a successful day. 💫
