This morning I woke up feeling slightly bloated 🤦♀️. This is unusual for me and made me feel uneasy. I go to my food cupboard whenever I have any digestive-related symptoms – (I learned the hard way a long time ago to avoid relying on medication for such conditions). Your very own pantry actually contains a lot of natural medicine. After all, food is our best medicine. 🤭🚪
That’s when I remembered what I hadn’t been including in my daily diet for the past week. My green tea! I reached in the back for the green tea that had somehow been placed out of sight (out of sight often means out of mind).

The anti-inflammatory properties decrease gas build-up and will soothe digestion

EGCG is catechin. Fancy word, right? 😂😊 This simply means that it contains an antioxidant found in plants.

Did you know that green tea is almost completely natural and is processed the least out of all the other tea? If you’re looking to go organic, green tea is a good addition to your meals.

Finally, green tea contains this combination which stimulates digestion, reduces gas, and improves metabolism somewhat.
Green tea has a great number of health benefits and I love it. A quick tip: add some honey and lemon to your hot green tea to add additional flavor and benefits. 😋
