Tips To Improve The Quality Of Your Sleep

Are you sleeping correctly? 💤💤⁣ If this question intrigued or confused you, keep reading…⁣

How to feel more rested after sleeping

It might come as a surprise to you, but there are right and wrong ways to sleep. Even your pre-bedtime routine could be incorrect. Poor pre-bedtime routines will lead to disrupted sleep and even insomnia. ⁣

To avoid “waking up on the wrong side of the bed”, ensure you actually get into bed correctly with these tips: 💫⁣

Have a set bedtime

Sleeping before 10 pm. Staying up to midnight every night is harming you more than you know. Being a “night owl” interferes with your biological clock. Your body’s natural mechanism to regulate mental and physical processes across 24 hours is interfered with. Also, exposure to light when your biological clock should be sleeping can negatively affect your health. 🛌⁣

Wind-down before sleep

Have a wind-down hour before sleep time. Switching off your screens. Getting comfortable. Make a to-do list for the next day, so that you don’t stay up pondering unfinished business. Ease your mind to prepare yourself to shut off for a few hours.🙇‍♀️ ⁣

Cut off-screen time before bed

Avoid blue lights an hour before bed. This is important for the brain to switch off.📺⁣

Don’t eat before bed

Eat dinner 3 hours before bedtime. If you eat right before bed, your body will be wasting valuable time digesting instead of repairing your body while you’re asleep.🥘⁣

What time you sleep, what you do before you sleep and how long you sleep all play a vital role in providing you with quality sleep. Quality sleep is key to good health and a great overall mood. 💫 ⁣
