The Importance Of A Healthy Gut

Hopping on here today to remind you all how important having a healthy gut is! A happy gut= a happy you!

The main responsibility of your gut

Your guts’ main responsibility is to process your food and determine what vitamins and other material get absorbed and what gets expelled. So, when your gut isn’t performing optimally it can contribute to vitamin and mineral deficiencies, food allergies, autoimmune disease, and bacteria imbalances.

Doesn’t sound good, does it?

In essence, this means that when your gut isn’t healthy, neither are you. You’ll feel more tired, bloated, headachy, and experience more acne and joint pain than usual.

So, how do you repair your gut if you’re already experiencing these symptoms?⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

How to repair an unhealthy gut

⁣⁣Well, you can start by removing foods that are contributing to the damage in your gut. I always highly recommend my clients cut out gluten and dairy because studies have shown that the vast majority of people suffer from gluten and dairy sensitivities, this means your body doesn’t want it & will operate much better without it!⁣⁣⁣

You should then also replace those with foods that will heal and strengthen your gut! This means including foods that are easy to digest and high in nutrients & fiber in your everyday diet.

And finally, you can sign up for a Nutritional Therapy program with me, where I’ll help you every step of the way to a healthy gut (and a healthy you!) We will focus on the lifestyle changes you need and I’ll provide motivation, accountability, support, personal coaching on food choices and new habits, as well as nutrition education and guidance (and recipes that will help you along the way!)⁣⁣⁣⁣
